Instructions

Step 1 - First Load

To ensure your spy lighter works perfectly from the start, it's essential that you perform a Full load before its release.

  • How to charge it: Remove the top cover of the cigarette lighter to reveal the USB connector. You can plug it directly into your computer's USB port or a standard mobile phone charger. 5V.

  • Low battery warning: Don't worry about your recordings; if the battery runs out while you're recording, the LED will light up. It will blink 3 times and the device will automatically save the video before shutting down.

Step 2 - Inserting the microSD card

Keep in mind that your lighter You absolutely need a card in order to function and save the videos.

  • Find the groove which is right next to the loading port. Insert the card Carefully in the correct position until you hear a "click" that indicates that it has fit.
  • The card must be up to 128 GB and formatted in FAT32 so that it doesn't make mistakes.
  • If you try to light the lighter without it, the light It will blink red and blue 5 times and the device will turn off by itself.

Step 3 - Turn On, Record and Photograph

  1. To start your lighter, first press and hold the power button for 3 secondsYou'll see that the The blue light flashes 3 times and then turns off: You're already recording video.

  5. Motion Detection RecordingTo use this mode, you first need to configure it in the file TIME.txt (I'll explain how in the Step 5:) putting a "M" in the end.

Step 4 - Loop Recording and Fragmentation

This lighter is designed so you don't miss a second of what's happening and to better manage your files:

  • Videos in segments: To keep the files from being too large and to protect them, the camera saves the videos in 5-minute blocksFor example, if you make a 7-minute recording, you will see two clips on your card: one of 5 minutes and another of 2 minutes.
  • Always ready memory: You don't have to worry about manually deleting files. The device has loop recordingThis means that when the card is full, it automatically starts deleting older videos to make room for new ones.

Step 5 - Setting Date, Time and Motion Detection

To ensure your videos have the correct date or to activate the motion sensor, you need to edit a very simple file within the device:

  1. Connect it to your PC: Plug the cigarette lighter directly into your computer's USB port.

    • ⚠️ Do not remove the microSD card to do this; it is better to edit the file with the card inserted in the lighter to avoid errors.

  2. Locate the file: Search within the memory for a document called TIME.txt and open it.

  3. Edit the format: You will see a line of numbers that you must change to the current date and time in this order: Year-Month-Day Hour:Minutes:Seconds.

  4. Set the options:

    • Y: Add a "Y" at the end if you want the date to be visible in the video.
    • N: Enter an "N" if you prefer that nothing appears.
    • M (Motion detection): If you want to activate the sensor, add a M at the very end (after Y or N).

Configuration example:

This would set the current date, display the time on the video, and activate motion detection.

Remember that, as we indicated in the Step 3:If you've put the "M" in, the lighter light will turn on. It will blink red twice. when you start recording to confirm that detection mode is active.

Step 6 - Reset

If the cigarette lighter gets stuck or doesn't respond as it should, you can reset it very easily:

  • Look for the little one Reset hole that's on the side. Carefully insert a paperclip or pin and Press for 5 seconds.
  • The device will completely power down and restart itself, returning to its normal state.

⚠️For your safety, save the files in the computer before doing so.

Step 7 - Power Off

Frequent Problems

Why does the camera turn off as soon as I turn it on?

The most common problem is that the lighter can't find where to save the videos. Make sure that the microSD card is correctly entered.

If you see the lights red and blue blink 5 times Before it shuts down, it's the signal the device gives you to tell you that memory not detected.

Why aren't my videos on the SD card?

  • Make sure it's 10 Class and is formatted in FAT32Remember that the maximum permitted capacity is 128 GB.
  • If not detected, withdraw and go back to insert the card.

How can I view the videos and photos?

Transferring the files to our PC. Whether you use Windows , the MacIt is recommended to use the player VLC Media Player (free). 

Why isn't the motion detection working?

Check the file TIME.txt into the memory and make sure you have written the letter M right at the end of the line of text (you can see how to do it step by step in the Step 5:). Without that letter, the lighter will record continuously instead of waiting to detect activity.

Can I record while the lighter is charging?

Yes, it's possible, but not recommended, as it will shorten battery life.

How can I be sure it's recording?

It's very simple, you just have to look for the blinking before the lights turn off completely:

  • Normal recording: Blue light blinks twice and it turns off.
  • Motion detection: The red light blinks twice and it turns off.

Remember that, while the lighter is working, You won't see any lights on.This ensures that the camera is completely discreet while recording.
