Step 1 - Preparation and Initial Load

Before installing the detector on the ceiling, we must prepare the system:

  • Access to the panel: You must turn the back cover to reveal the inner panel.

  • Load: Connect the USB cable to a charger 5V.

    • Steady red light: Charging.

    • Light off: Charging completed.

Always perform a full charge before first use.

Step 2 - Inserting the microSD card (Optional)

To save video evidence locally:

  1. With the cover removed, you'll find the slot just below the charging port.

  2. Enter a card microSD up to 128GB in the slot, pushing it until you hear a click.

Step 3 - Installing the App

This device uses a specific application for maximum stability:

  1. Download the App “LOOKCAM” from your app store.

  2. Open the app and make sure accept all permissions and have the Bluetooth enabled.

Step 4 - Power on

Slide the switch, which you'll find next to the charging port, to the position ON:

  1. You will first see a steady red light.

  2. After a few seconds, it will appear steady red light next to a slowly flashing blue lightThis confirms that the detector is emitting its own WiFi signal and is ready to pair.

Step 5 - Connection Modes

You can use the camera in two different ways:

A. Local Mode (Direct P2P Connection): Ideal for viewing the camera at a short distance (up to 25 meters) without the need for a router:

  1. Go to your mobile's WiFi settings and connect to the network that starts with "F...".

  2. If your mobile says "no internet", select "Keep connected".

  3. Open LookCam and you'll be able to watch the live stream.

B. Remote Mode (Connect to your WiFi): To view the camera from anywhere in the world:

  1. Within LookCam, with the camera connected in Local Mode, tap the gear icon (Configuration)> WiFi Setting.

  2. Select your home WiFi network (2.4 GHz) and enter the password.

  3. The camera will restart (this takes about 40 seconds). When the the blue light stays onThe detector will be connected to the internet.

Nota: The default device key is 123456.

Step 6 - Control from the Application

With the camera connected, you can:

  • Watch the live video, zoom in and rotate the image if necessary.

  • Turn audio on/off.

  • Custom the Motion detection to receive alerts

  • Manage the microSD card history, among other functions.

Step 7 - Restart and Shutdown

If the camera network doesn't appear or you want to change your WiFi network:

  1. With the camera on, press and hold the button Reset with a clip during 5 seconds.

  2. The device will be factory reset. Wait for the lights from Step 4 to return.

Off: Slide the switch to OFF (All the lights go out).

Step 8 - Installation

Once configured, fix the detector to the ceiling:

  1. Screw or glue the cover to the ceiling.
  2. Next, you can reassemble the rest of the camera body by rotating it as you did initially.

Its flat-angle lens is designed to provide stable peripheral vision from heights.

  2. Rotate the detector in the holder so that the tabs are secured.

Frequent Problems

Why can't the detector connect to my Wi-Fi network?

For successful pairing, it is essential to verify that your router broadcasts on the band of 2.4 GHz (This device is not compatible with 5G networks.) If the camera's own network (which starts with "F") does not appear in your phone's settings, perform a Reset and restart the setup process.

Why does the image look slow on my mobile?

The smoothness of real-time video depends on both your internet speed and your smartphone model. If you experience lag, we recommend reduce display resolution from the main panel of the App to improve the fluidity of the transmission.

Why can't I find any recordings on the microSD card?

If the camera is not storing videos correctly, check the following:

  • Format: You must format the card before first use (preferably in FAT32).

  • Quality: Make sure it's a card from 10 Class with a maximum capacity of 128 GBSlower graphics cards can cause errors when saving HD files.

The camera is not responding or it turns off by itself, what can I do?

If the device stops unexpectedly, follow this troubleshooting protocol:

  1. Energy: Make sure the battery is fully charged. If you're going to be making very long recordings, we recommend keeping it plugged into a power outlet.

  2. Memory conflict: A microSD card that is improperly inserted or has a corrupted format can cause the system to freeze. Remove the card and reinsert it carefully.

  3. System lock: If the team still doesn't react, apply a Reset ( Step 7:) to restore factory settings and eliminate any temporary software errors.
