Instructions for the Full HD Spy Camera Module

The Full HD WiFi Spy Camera Module is a discreet and effective solution for home or business surveillance. With 1080p/30fps resolution and a 90° or 120° wide-angle lens (depending on the model), it guarantees clear images from multiple angles.

It allows remote access via an iOS and Android-compatible app, ideal for real-time viewing from anywhere. It features motion detection with instant alerts to your phone and offers loop recording with a microSD card up to 128GB. Its battery life of up to 5 hours and the ability to record while charging make it perfect for extended use.

Easy to install and configure, no technical knowledge required. Compatible with 2.4G Wi-Fi networks and LookCam or Tuya Smart apps, it adapts to different security needs with a compact and versatile design.

Step 0 - Model Selection

Click on the image corresponding to the model purchased to access the instructions

Full HD model

Step 1 - Power On and Restart

  • Push the button ON / OFF to turn the camera on or off.
  • To restore factory settings, hold down the Reset button with a paper clip for 5 seconds. The camera will automatically shut down and restart in about 30 seconds.

🔴 Red light: Power indicator (remains steady when charging).
(I.e. Blue light: WiFi status indicator.

Step 2 - WiFi Connection Mode

  • AP (Point-to-Point) Mode: The blue light flashes slowly.
  • Connecting to WiFi: The blue light flashes rapidly.
  • Successful WiFi connection: The blue light remains on.

To reset the camera to AP mode By default, restore the factory settings as indicated in the Step 1:.

Step 3 - Installing the application

  • Search for the app “LookCam” on Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone) and download it.

Step 4 - Connecting in AP mode (no router required)

  1. Access the WiFi settings from your phone.
  2. Connect to WiFi network generated by the camera (its name usually begins with "F+numbers"). If a message appears asking you to keep connected to WiFi even if you don't have internet, you should click on Accept.
  3. Open the app LookCam.
  4. Tap the device that appears in the app to view the camera in local mode (without Internet).

Step 5 - Remote connection via WiFi

  1. Within the LookCam app, go to: Settings (gear) > Wifi Setting
  2. Select your home WiFi network (must be 2.4 GHz).
  3. Enter the password and press OK.
  4. The camera will automatically reboot (wait about 40 seconds).
  5. The state will change from offline a onlineYou'll now be able to access it from anywhere.

⚠️ If you enter the wrong Wi-Fi password, the camera will reboot but not connect. The blue light will flash rapidly. You'll need to restore the camera to factory settings as instructed in the Step 1: and repeat the setup.

Full HD Model - Wide Angle

Step 1 - Power On and Restart

Connect the battery to the camera using the red connector. Check that the wire colors match when connecting.

  • Push the button ON / OFF to turn the camera on or off.
  • To restore factory settings, hold down the button Reset for 5 seconds until the device reboots.

🔴 Red light: Indicates that the device is on or charging.
🔵 Blue light: WiFi connection indicator

Step 2 - WiFi Connection Mode

  • AP (Point-to-Point) Mode: The blue light flashes slowly.
  • Connecting to WiFi: The blue light flashes rapidly.
  • Successful WiFi connection: The blue light remains on.

  2. Choose "WiFi Setting" and connect to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4G). (If you're sharing internet with a mobile phone, you'll need to create the hotspot for internet sharing before turning on the camera.)
  3. Enter the password correctly and press OK.
  4. The device is will restart automatically (it will take approximately 40 seconds).
  5. Once online, you can access the camera from anywhere.

Full HD Plus Model - Wide Angle

Step 1 - Power On and Restart

Connect the battery to the camera using the red connector. Check that the wire colors match when connecting.

  • Push the button ON / OFF to turn the camera on or off.
  • To restore factory settings, hold down the button Reset for 3-5 seconds until the device reboots.

🔴 Steady red light: eating
(I.e. Blue light flashing: connecting to WiFi network / fixed: WiFi connection made
🢢 Steady green light: on hold / blinking: recording

Step 2 - Preparing the device

  • Use a microSD card (up to 128 GB) if you're recording and want to store images or videos on the microSD card. If you're using the camera for remote viewing and saving images or videos to your phone or the cloud, it's not necessary.
  • Insert the card with the metal contacts facing down until hear a click.
  • Connect the device to a USB charger or power bank:
      • Full charge time: 6–7 hours.
      • Continuous recording autonomy: 5 hours.

When you have a microSD, the camera records automatically when you turn it on with the ON button, without the need for a WiFi connection.

Step 3 - Installing the application

  • Search for the app "Tuya Smart" on Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone) and download it.

Step 4 - Remote connection via WiFi

  1. Make sure the camera is lit.
  2. hold the button RESET indicated by an R with a clip for 5 seconds (This step is not necessary if the blue light is already flashing rapidly.)
  3. La blue light will flash rapidly: pairing mode.
  4. in the app Tuya Smart, after creating a user account and accepting all permissions:
    • press "Add device" or the + icon in the upper right corner
    • At Lateral Menu, scroll down to the " sectionCamera and lock"
    • Press on "Smart security camera (Wi-Fi)"
    • Click on the top right corner on "QR code for camera" and changes to "WiFi Mode"
    • Click on "Next" until you reach the AP Mode or EZ Mode selector. Select AP Mode.
    • Select your WiFi network (2.4 GHz only) and enter the password.
    • Select the Wi-Fi network created by the camera, which began with “SmartLife…”
    • Wait for the connection.
  5. By connecting success:
    • Blue light: steady
    • Green light: on if not recording / flashing if recording 

Step 5 - In-app controls

  • Real time display from anywhere
  • recording control manual or by motion detection.
  • Viewing and downloading recordings from SD card.
  • Battery status visible from the app.
  • Shared access with other users from the “Share device” option.

Frequent Problems

Why won't the camera connect to Wi-Fi?

  • Verify that you are using a 2.4 GHz network (not 5G) and that the password is correct.

  • The network name must only contain letters and numbers.

  • In the case of the model Full HD - Wide Angle If the blue LED flashes rapidly after setup, it indicates an error. You'll need to restart and reconfigure the camera.
  • On any model, if pairing fails, try AP mode or restart the camera.

Why is remote monitoring slow?

  • Adjust the video quality depending on your network speed. Try lower resolution if the transmission is slow.

Why aren't videos recorded on the SD card?

  • Make sure you use a card microSD Class 10 y format it from the app before first use.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

  • Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to restore factory settings.
  • In the LookCam app the default password is: 123456

It is recommended that you change the default password before using the camera to protect your privacy.

Why doesn't the app show the recorded videos?

  • It may be due to mobile decoding limitations. Adjust the video quality from the app.
