Instructions

Step 1 - Initial device charging

We recommend performing a full charge before using the button for the first time to ensure maximum battery performance:

  • Connect the device to a charger 5V using the cable you'll find in the box.

  • During the process, you will notice that the The red light remains on..

  • You'll know the charging is finished when the The red light turns off completely.

Step 2 - Installing the microSD memory

If, in addition to watching the live stream, you want the button to save video evidence, do the following:

  1. Enter a card microSD up to 128GB in the slot located on the side.

  2. Push it gently until you hear a clickThat means it's fitted properly.

Step 3 - Download the application

To control the camera remotely, it is essential to use the app. LookCam:

  • Download it directly from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

  • When opening it, it is vital that accept all permissions that it asks you for; otherwise, some functions may not run correctly.

Step 4 - Power on

Move the switch to the position ON:

  1. At first you will see a steady red light.

  2. After a few seconds, the red light will remain and a [unclear] will appear. blue light blinking slowlyThis status confirms that the button is now emitting its own WiFi signal so you can pair it with your mobile phone.

Step 5 - Local Connection AP Mode

Enter the menu WiFi settings from your smartphone:

  1. Look for a new network whose name begins with a letter (usually the F...) and connect (no password required).

⚠️ If your phone tells you that this network doesn't have internet access, select the option to keep the connection active.

  1. Once connected to the camera's network, open the application LookCam.
  2. The system will detect the device automatically.
  3. A notification will appear:
    • Press on "OK" in the message to continue with the process.
    • If you prefer to use local mode (without internet) or configure WiFi later, click on “Cancel”.
  1. The camera will appear in state Online.

Nota: If the app suggests changing your password for security reasons, you can do so or skip this step. Remember that the default password is 123456.

Step 6 - Remote Mode WiFi Connection

To link the button to your home WiFi or a portable router and view it from outside:

  1. On the home screen, tap the gear icon (adjustments) to the right of the camera.

  2. Enter the option “WiFi Setting”.

  3. Choose your WiFi network and enter the password. Remember that it must be a network of 2.4 GHz.

  4. The camera will restart automatically to apply the changes.

Meaning of the lights during this process:

  • Blue flashing quickly: It is trying to connect to the router.

  • Fixed blue: The connection has been successfully established.

Step 7 - Tools available in the App

From the LookCam control panel you can manage the entire system:

  • Observe the real-time video.

  • Turn the on or off night vision.

  • Activate alerts for Motion detection.

  • View and download videos saved on the card microSD.

Step 8 - Restart and Shutdown

If the WiFi network on the button does not appear or you are experiencing connection problems, reset the device:

  1. With the device turned on, insert a paperclip into the Reset hole.

  2. Maintain pressure during 5 seconds until the LEDs turn off.

  3. The device will restart with the original settings and you will be able to configure it again.

When you no longer need to use the camera, simply move the switch to the position OFFYou will see that all the lights turn off and the device will stop consuming battery power.

Frequent Problems

Why won't the camera connect to Wi-Fi?

  • Make sure your router is broadcasting a signal correctly and that you are trying to connect to a 2.4 GHz frequencybecause this device is not compatible with 5G bands.
  • It's also essential to verify that you've entered the Wi-Fi password correctly. If the information entered is incorrect, the device will restart but won't establish a connection. In that case, you'll need to perform a factory reset by holding down the reset button for 5 seconds (as explained in the Step 8:) and start the linking process again.

Why is remote monitoring slow?

The smoothness of real-time video depends directly on the quality of your internet connection. If you notice delays, we recommend accessing the app settings and adjust image resolution to a lower quality that better suits your network's upload speed.

 

Why aren't videos recorded on the SD card?

For optimal storage performance, you should use cards with a write speed Class 10 or higher.

  • Furthermore, it is very important that you format it before inserting it, preferably in FAT32 system.

If the card does not meet these requirements, the button may have difficulty recognizing it or writing video files correctly.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

For security reasons, the password cannot be recovered, but you can reset it. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to return the device to its original settings (see Step 8:Once this is done, the default password will revert to 123456.

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized access, we strongly suggest you change the default password to a personal one as soon as you complete the initial setup.
