The Spy Recorder Pen is a discreet and functional device that allows you to record audio with high fidelity without raising suspicion.
Available in two versions, it adapts to different needs: version A records in MP3 at 128 kbps with 8 GB of internal memory and up to 6 hours of battery life, ideal for everyday use and quick recordings; while version B offers superior quality in WAV at 384 kbps, with support for microSD cards up to 128 GB (not included) and 15 hours of battery life, perfect for extended recordings.
Both versions include one-click recording and a design that's disguised as a functional pen. An ideal solution for meetings, interviews, or situations where discretion is key.

Step 0 - Model Selection

Spy Recorder Pen A
Step 1 - Power On and Recording
- First turn on the button inside the pen, a blue light will turn on.
- Press the multifunction button.
- The red light will flash: recording started.
- To pause or end recording, press the multifunction button again.
- The recording is automatically saved to the internal memory.
Step 2 - Recording Modes
- In pause mode, select between the 3 available modes:
- 🔴 Continuous recording
- 🔵 Voice-activated Recording (VOR): Starts when a sound ≥ 50 dB is detected
- 🟢 Loop Recording: Overwrites the oldest files when memory is full
The device remembers the last selected mode when restarted.
Step 3 - Playing Recordings
- Connect the headphones included to the device.
- Turn on and enter autoplay mode.
- Use the controls to navigate:
- ➕ Short press: next track
- ➕ Long press: increase volume
- ➖ Short press: previous track
- ➖ Long press: decrease volume
- ➕ Short press: next track

Step 4 - Deleting Files
- In pause mode:
- Press and hold the delete button for 3 seconds to enter delete mode.
- Tap once to delete the current file.
- Press and hold to delete all files.
- Press any button to exit the mode.
- Press and hold the delete button for 3 seconds to enter delete mode.
Step 4 - Date and Time Synchronization
- Connect the pen to your computer via USB.
- Open the file SET TIME.exe o TIME.txt in the root folder.
Enter the date and time in the following format:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS Y
Example: 2025-04-24 15:30:00 Y
- Y: activates timestamp on video
- N: hides the date and time
- Y: activates timestamp on video
3. Save the changes, disconnect and turn on the device to apply the settings.
Spy Recorder Pen B
Step 1 - Power On and Recording
- Make sure that the headphones are not connected.
- Press and hold the switch ON (top button of the pen).
- The red light will flash 5 times and then turn off: recording has started.
- To finish, move the switch to OFF. The file will be saved automatically.
⚠️Extract files regularly to avoid loss (the files are large due to their high quality).
⚠️Do not connect the recorder to the computer during recording., as the file may be lost.
Step 2 - Reproduction
- Connect the headphones included.
- Press and hold the switch ON (top button of the pen).
- The music or recording will start playing.
- Use the headset buttons:
- ➕ Long press: increase volume
- ➕ Short press: next track
- ➖ Long press: decrease volume
- ➖ Short press: previous track
- ▶ Short press: switch mode between recording playback or song playback
- ▶ Long press: play/pause
- ➕ Long press: increase volume
Step 3 - Time Synchronization
- Connect the recorder to the computer.
- Access the device folder and copy the file SET TIME.exe to the desk.
- Run the file and click on Set Time.
- The system date/time will be recorded in the audio files.
Step 4 - Advanced Features
These functions are activated by connecting headphones to the recorder and holding down the Play/Pause button on the headphone pad. During the pause mode The red and blue lights flash. To exit pause mode, press the play/pause button once.
Voice-activated recording (VOR)
In this mode, the recorder only records when it detects sound or voice.
In pause mode (red and blue lights flash):
- Activate: Press and hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds → the blue light will flash.
- Deactivate: Press and hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds → the red light will flash.
delete recordings
- In pause mode (red and blue lights flashing), press and hold the - button for 3 seconds to enter delete mode (purple light flashing).
- Short press play/pause button: delete current file
- Long press play/pause button: delete all files
- Short press + button: exit mode
- Short press play/pause button: delete current file
Fast forward and rewind (requires restart)
- Connect the headphones and turn on the device.
- Press and hold the ➕ button to move forward, ➖ to move backward.
Step 5 - Load
- Always turn off the pen before charging or connecting to the computer.
- Use charging adapters maximum 1A to avoid damage.
- Use the original usb cable.
- During charging:
- Flashing red light: charging
- Solid blue light: fully charged

Frequent Problems
Why isn't it recording?
- Make sure there is enough memory space.
- Check that it is fully charged.
- Recommended: Format the device from your computer to FAT32.
Why isn't he responding?
Format the device from the computer with quick format to restore factory settings.
Can it be played on the computer?
- Yes. Connect via USB and open .WAV files with any compatible player (e.g. VLC Media Player).
- If the computer does not recognize the recorder, check that the connector is properly inserted.
- If it still doesn't work, try another computer.
It doesn't play after inserting headphones, what do I do?
Insert the earphones → power on → power off → power back on: playback will be activated.
