Step 1 - Charging the Device

Step 2 - Inserting the microSD card

Step 3 - Operation: Videos and Photos

Step 4 - Loop Recording and Fragmentation

The pen's storage system is designed to efficiently organize your videos and prevent you from running out of space at important moments:

  • Automatic segmentation: To ensure the security of the files and facilitate their management, the recordings are stored in 5-minute blocksFor example, if you make a continuous 7-minute recording, the device will generate two files: one of 5 minutes and another with the remaining 2 minutes.
  • Loop Recording: The pen has a function of loop recordingThis means that if the memory card becomes completely full, the device will automatically start overwriting the oldest files so you never stop recording.

Step 5 - Setting Date, Time and Modes

To adjust the timestamp of your videos or activate motion detection, you must modify the device's internal configuration file:

  • Connecting to the device: Connect the pen to your computer using the included USB cable. The system will automatically recognize it as an external storage device.

⚠️Note: Do not remove the microSD card to edit the file externally; always do so with the pen connected to avoid possible errors.

  • File editing: Find and open the document called TIME.txtYou must modify the line of text respecting the following format:
    • YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (Year-Month-Day Hour:Minutes:Seconds).
  • Additional options:
    • Y: Hold down the "Y" to display the date on the recordings.
    • N: Switch to "N" if you prefer to hide the date.
    • Activate Motion Detection: To use this feature, add a M at the end of the line.

Step 6 - Reset

If you notice that the pen is not responding correctly or is malfunctioning, you can perform a manual reset:

Frequent Problems

Is it normal for the pen to get hot when recording or charging?

Why isn't the camera responding?
